While at work and in the process of repairing a motor vehicle, the plaintiff, a 36-year-old female, auto body technician, suffered a bite to her vagina by a male co-employee. Prior to the attack, the offending employee had a history of making sexually explicit remarks to the plaintiff which had been the source of repeated complaints by the plaintiff to her employer. The bite did not break the skin, but did result in a minor bruise. The nature of the claim centered on the plaintiff’s emotional anguish and humiliation. The case was settled prior to trial.
