Attorney Joseph M. Burke Joins Parker Scheer LLP as Of Counsel

Boston, MA - January 2007 - Attorney Joseph M. Burke, formerly a partner in the Wellesley law firm of BURKE and BURKE, has joined Parker Scheer LLP as Of Counsel, effective February 1, 2007, and will continue to concentrate in the area of serious workers’ compensation and personal injury law.

Attorney Burke brings nearly twenty-five years of active experience in the representation of injured workers and their families. Attorney Burke has represented injured employees in workers' compensation cases before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents, and is counsel of record on numerous appeals before the Reviewing Board of the DIA and the Appeals Courts of the Commonwealth. Attorney Burke has successfully tried dozens of jury trials to a verdict, all of which were on behalf of injured parties. In addition, Attorney Burke has represented clients in Social Security Disability claims before the Office of Hearings and Appeals of the Social Security Administration in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.

Before joining Parker Scheer as Of Counsel, Mr. Burke was a co-founder of BURKE and BURKE, a Wellesley, Massachusetts law firm concentrating in the representation of injured workers and their families in connection with workplace negligence and products liability claims. Attorney Burke’s practice also includes the litigation of construction site negligence, products liability claims, and motor vehicle negligence in the Superior Courts of Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as the representation of clients before the Office of Hearings and Appeals of the Social Security Administration. Attorney Burke makes his home in Wellesley, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters.
