A 24 year old MBTA Green operator was texting his girlfriend Friday night when he suddenly rear-ended another trolley car, injuring nearly 50 people near Government Center in Boston, according to published reports.
Emergency medical personnel treated injured passengers who were later sent on to area hospitals. The operator responsible for the crash had been with the MBTA for less than two years.
